Dear Biomch-l-ers
I have been asked a question about the level of recoil of shoulder fired
weapons and wondered if anyone had any information on the subject, or
point me in the right direction
The question I have been asked, is why the level of 60
foot pounds has been set for a shoulder fired weapons recoil limit.
The original poser is looking at recoil in the terms of blunt trauma,
but within
the week will start researching repetitive small traumas. At present he
has not been able to find any information on soft tissue and blunt
trauma
in foot pounds. There seems to be a great deal of literature on missile
wounds but none on weapons recoil and its physical effects on the
shooters
shoulder.
Many thanks in advance
