The European Society of Biomechanics (ESB) would like to develop its role
in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Recognizing the special problems of
resources for scientists in CEE, the council of the Society will offer free
membership, currently 90 Euros (which includes receipt of the Journal of
Biomechanics) to a person from each country (maximum 15 countries) who
would be prepared to act as corresponding members, circulating ESB
information internally, and reporting on biomechanics activities in their
country via the ESB web-site and the ESB Newsletter. Scientists interested
in becoming ESB corresponding member in their country should send a
curriculum vitae and covering letter to me by email. Decisions will be made
at an ESB Council meeting in August.
