The newly formed Fundamental Research Laboratories (FRL) of Honda R&D,
invites applications
for a research position to contribute to the technical advances of the
rapidly growing area of digital human modeling.
We are accepting applications for full time position, post-doc, or interns
(anytime during the year).
The near term objective of the project may involve the following,
3D Reconstruction of human models from images.
Human Motion and Posture Simulation / Prediction
Development of Virtual Human-centered Engineering Systems
Estimation of anthropomorphic parameters from reconstructed 3D human
models.
Muscle modeling, muscle fatigue modeling, and strength simulation.
Human motor control - based on fuzzy logic control, evolutionary
programming, or neural networks.
Candidates must have a M.S. or Ph.D in mechanical engineering, electrical
engineering, biomedical engineering,
computer science, biomechanics, or closely related field with a strong
commitment to basic and applied research. The ideal
candidate will have exceptional programming skills in C, C++, Java, OpenGL,
Matlab.
