RE-ADVERTISMENT FOR POSITION AT HENRY FORD HOSPITAL

The economy is good! Students are obtaining good employment with stock
options! I have no stock! Henry Ford Hospital still needs a Bone and
    Joint Engineer!

The following is a readvertisement for a position originally posted
in April, 2000. For those on this list who might have applied
previously but were not contacted: The previous group of applicants was
extremely large. I apologize for not having personal contact with each
of you. For new candidates, if you reply to me by e-mail, please use
the option to receive a reply receipt so that you know I have read your
mail. I regret that I cannot personally contact each of you but the
world is large, with many interested parties, and I am finite.

    JOB OPENING

There is an opening in the Bone and Joint Center of Henry Ford Hospital
for a biomechanically trained research laboratory technician. The
    position is
titled "Bone and Joint Engineer" and requires a minimum of BS in
    Engineering or
Bioengineering. Some experience in bioengineering is essential.

The primary job requirement is to work under minimal supervision to
perform experiments in the area of bone and cartilage mechanics. The

engineering skills needed are an understanding of mechanical testing,
digital data acquisition and structural analysis. The candidate will be

expected to learn bone histology methods including embedding, slide
    preparation and histomorpometric data collection.

The position is currently funded and available. Please note that this
position allows continuing education for an appropriate candidate. The
Henry Ford Hospital is less than 2 miles from Wayne State University
which has a full Engineering graduate program designed around night
    classes.

Please contact Dr. David P. Fyhrie by either mail or e-mail.
