Doctoral Scholarship
The Centre for Musculoskeletal Studies, The University of Western Australia,
wishes to announce a new PhD Scholarship for the study related to
Musculoskeletal science. The PhD Scholarship will be available to a
Physiotherapist seeking full-time enrolment and will commence in January
2001. Applicants will have completed an Honours degree with distinction or
have a Masters Degree in a related area.
Areas of research interest include but are not limited to :
* Spinal Morphology & Biomechanics
* Spinal Pain and Motor Control
* Clinical efficacy studies
Potential applicants should examine the research interests of staff within
the CMS and are encouraged to contact the
Centre for
further advice on possible study programs. The successful applicant can
expect to work within an active multi-disciplinary teaching (post graduate
Sports Manual Therapy and Manipulative Therapy) and research centre.

Stipend:
A three year stipend of $AUD18, 000.00 p.a. [Tax-free] will be offered .
This includes a HECS (fees) exemption award to the suitable candidate.
Availability:
The current scholarship is available to Australian Residents (permanent
residency).
Applications close 31st October 2000. The successful candidate will be
contacted mid-December 2000.
