    SENIOR RESEARCH OFFICER IN BIOMECHANICS (2 YEAR
    CONTRACT)

    We are seeking to appoint a Senior Research Officer in
    Biomechanics and Biomedical Engineering with experience in
    computational biomechanics. The position will involve research and
    development of finite element modelling applied to implants,
    interface analysis, bone/implant interaction etc. The person
    appointed should be highly skilled in mechanics/stress analysis
    and have considerable experience of finite element applications.
    Also use of finite element software packages and UNIX based
    workstations would be advantageous. The position is based at the
    University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff and involves various
    research groups with expertise in the biomedical engineering,
    biomechanics, biomaterials and computer applications.

    Salary Scale £23,521 - £30,065 per annum (maximum starting
    salary £27,451)
