I have been approached by a doctoral student in our music department who
is interested in quantifying various mechanical and neuromotor aspects of
opera singing. He is particularly interested in the involvement of the
entire cranio-sacral "instrument" and many deep (in two dimensions!)
muscles. There are a host of obvious difficulties with which to contend,
so he would greatly appreciate learning of any recent or current attempts
to address this or similar issues. I shall be glad to forward any replies.
Thanks.
