I am investigating the methods used clinically to locate points on (or in)
the human body using probes similar to articulated arms instrumented with
position sensors.
For example, I've seen arms that correlate MRI images to the physical
anatomy using a probe to point to the anatomy and identify the point on
the image. There are also, I believe, similar things being done in
orthepedics related to hip pinning, robotic surgery applications, etc.
Can any one lead me to more information or discuss with me applications
and sources for probes I've described? I have some ideas that might
contribute to the field.
