Greetings.
I teach an undergraduate course in Rehabilitation
Biomechanics and a component of the course relates to the
application of muscle mechanics to exercise prescription. I realise
that this is an extensive area however I attempt to keep the
principles relatively basic and require the students to perform
problem solving questions related to specific exercises. The
exercises are divided into categories based on population groups ie
age and developmental levels, acute injury rehab, general fitness
and conditioning, elite performance etc.
I am interested in texts which deal with this approach in a
practical and applied way. I would appreciate any reference source
texts that anyone has used or is using in these areas so I can
consider them for adoption or library purchase. I realise that there
are numerous journal sources however I am more interested in
books or web sites. I will recirculate your responses for all to
benefit. Thankyou in advance. Tony Bauer.
