HEAD OF REHABILITATION ENGINEERING SERVICES
Consultant Clinical Scientist Grade C
(£33,820 - £46,285, plus London weighting)
Suitably qualified and experienced engineers/scientists are invited to
apply for this exciting and challenging post in rehabilitation engineering
at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton. The Roehampton Rehabilitation Centre
provides local and district services covering a comprehensive range of
rehabilitation modalities including assistive devices, gait analysis,
orthotics, prosthetics, special seating and wheelchairs. The successful
applicant will be expected to provide professional and technical leadership
to the engineering staff working in these areas and, as part of the Senior
Management team, to develop and expand the range of services provided.
Funding for additional clinical scientist posts has been made available to
support these activities.
Applicants should have a comprehensive background in rehabilitation
engineering and excellent communication skills. The post will be supported
by the Department of Medical Physics and Bioengineering of St George’s
Healthcare NHS Trust and by the Biomedical Engineering Group at the
University of Surrey. The post holder will be expected to develop and
strengthen the links with these organisations.
