ME Faculty Position Ad For Assistant Professor
MECHANICAL ENGINEERING, The University of Texas at San Antonio. Pending
budget approval, applications are invited for one and possibly two
tenure-track positions in Mechanical Engineering at the Assistant Professor
level. Required qualifications: Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or related
field by May 31, 2001. Preferred qualifications: (1) teaching ability at the
undergraduate and graduate levels (2) developing a strong program of funded
research (3) background in one of the areas: finite elements, solid
modeling, mechanical systems, or bio-related engineering. Responsibilities
include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and developing a
strong program of funded research. Successful applicants will teach courses
offered at either the UTSA Downtown or at the 1604 Campus. Applicants who
are not U.S. citizens must state their current visa and residency status.

effective teaching ability at the undergraduate and graduate levels (2)
developing a nationally recognized program of funded research (3)
demonstrated experience in biomechanical engineering. Responsibilities for
both positions include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels,
and developing a strong program of funded research. Successful applicants
