POSITION TITLE
University of Nevada, Las Vegas, College of Health Science, Department of
Kinesiology invites applications for an Assistant Professor, tenure track
position, in Athletic Training / Sports medicine in the Department of
Kinesiology, beginning August 1, 2001. Position # 862
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Teach in a CAAHEP accredited undergraduate curriculum and the Kinesiology
M. S. degree program.
* Advise undergraduate and graduate students.
* Serve on Department, College, and University committees.
* Perform scholarship activities in one or more of the following areas to
meet tenure and promotion requirements; Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology,
Motor Behavior, Sport Injury Prevention and/or Care
QUALIFICATIONS
* Earned doctoral degree
* NATABOC certification with experience as a practicing AT in a clinical,
high school, college, or professional sports setting.
* Evidence of research, publication, & professional involvement
* Ability to apply for external funding
* Work in a multidisciplinary laboratory (Biomechanics, Ex. Phys., Motor
Behavior, Sports Injury,).
SALARY RANGE
* Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
* Position is contingent upon funding.
