    Help: Analysing Velocity of canoeing
I am comparing the technique of canoeing(kayaking) on the water normally and
on a special designed ergometer. The aim of this study is to see if
technique on the ergometer is biomechanically correct so seeing if it
simulates canoeing accuratly enough to be trained on.
One of the variables i am analysing is velocity of the paddle. On the water
the paddle is fairly still and the athlete moves past it, while on the
ergometer the athlete is still and the paddle moves past the athlete. On the
ergometer you have a positive velocity. On the water this velocity is mainly
negative. In some areas it mirrors the ergometer velocity. I am trying to
find methods of analysing this data so as to compare the velocities. Your
    help would be much appreciated.
