  • Best wishes for 2001

    Dear Colleagues in Biomechanics

I would like to take this opportunity, at the end of the year, to wish you all
everything of the best for 2001. In particular, I would like to acknowledge the
efforts of the moderators for the hard work they have put in this past year to
ensure that Biomch-L plays a lively and meaningful role in our scientific
lives. As one of the financial supporters of the listserver (the SURF
Foundation of The Netherlands is the other), the International Society of
Biomechanics is proud to be able to contribute to the field. Those of you who
are not yet members of the ISB, I would encourage you to play your part in
supporting Biomch-L by joining the ISB. More details can be found at:

I hope that many of you will be planning to attend the ISB Congress to be held
in Zurich in July 2001. The deadline for submission of abstracts has been
extended to 15 January 2001 and, if you haven't already done so, please take
the time over the next month to submit your 3000 character abstract. More
    details can be found at:

I look forward to my interactions with many of you in 2001. All the best.

    Kit Vaughan
    President, International Society of Biomechanics
