POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
The University of Iowa Department of Orthopaedic Surgery seeks applications
for a new full-time Assistant Research Scientist position in upper extremity
research, being created in our Biomechanics Laboratory. Candidates should
hold a Ph.D. in bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or in mechanical
engineering related to orthopaedic biomechanics. The goal is to enhance our
upper extremity research within the existing framework of our laboratory.
The ideal candidate for this position would be a recent engineering Ph.D.
seeking a career path in clinically-oriented biomechanics research related
to the upper extremity. This individual would be based in a
well-established laboratory with currently 11 FTE's (including 5
bioengineering Ph.D.'s), and would work collaboratively with our
Department's three orthopaedists who specialize in upper extremity surgery.
