Dear Networkers,
I am Nachiappan Chockalingam working for the Movement
Analysis Lab here at Central Leather Research Institute.
Presently I am trying to Identify and Quantify the comfort
parameters for a shoe. I realise comfort in a shoe, means
different things to different people and it is a vast area to
work on. To start with I have confined myself to sports shoe
used by Runners. I am taking both Biomechanics(Forces,
Moments etc.,)and materials into consideration.
I would like to know if anyone else is working on this field.
My Institute is also looking for a possible collabration with
a leading lab who are working in this area. The system which
we have here is VICON based on vax-vms. We also have a AMTI
force platform to measure the Ground Reaction Forces.
