The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Southern Methodist University is
seeking applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in one of the main
areas of mechanical engineering: dynamics, systems & controls, materials,
design & manufacturing, solid mechanics, or thermo-fluids. Candidates with
interests in emerging technologies in these areas will receive special
consideration.
The Mechanical Engineering Department (http://www.seas.smu.edu/me/) is
seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial individual to participate in the
development of a first-class research and academic program, building on the
existing university-industry relations. The Department is home to a Research
Center for Advanced Manufacturing, a Laboratory for Dynamics, Systems and
Controls, a Laboratory for Porous Materials Applications, and a Submicron
Electro-Thermal Sciences Laboratory.
