This notice is for all authors and attendees to the Materials & Science in
Sports conference, which is scheduled for April 22-25, 2001, at the
Coronado Island Marriott Resort in Coronado, California, USA.
Materials & Science in Sports is organized to bring together those
interested in technical aspects of sports. Themes may include design,
materials, mechanics, dynamics, and biomechanics. All aspects of science
applied to sports will be welcome, particularly those relating to advances
in equipment and improvements in athletic performance. The conference will
cover all sports and leisure pastimes such as golf, tennis, baseball,
soccer, hockey, and athletics. The conference will be of interest to those
working in engineering, physics, sports science, and physical education
departments around the world.
Register now to take advantage of the advance registration fee discount.
Advance registration deadline is Monday, April 2, 2001. If you have not
received an Advance Mailer, you can download the mailer from the conference

Don't forget to make your housing reservations at the Coronado Island
Marriott Resort. The housing reservation deadline is Friday, March 30,
2001. The hotel will not offer the discounted conference rate after the
cut-off date. Stay at the headquarters hotel and enjoy the convenience and
opportunity to network with your peers and colleagues.
Included in the full conference registration fee is the welcoming
reception, admission to technical sessions, morning and afternoon coffee
breaks, the conference banquet, and a copy of the proceedings.
