    Hello all,

My name is Matthew Profit and I'm a Ph.D. student at the University of Wales, Swansea. My particular area of research looks at developing constitutive models for the behaviour of a Varity of biological tissues, hard and soft. The subsequent models are implemented into an explicit dynamic finite element code.

Currently, I am trying to find a suitable model for the mechanical behaviour of the human lower leg under impact conditions. The continuum based model should be able to represent fracture of the lower leg due to impact. I am looking for a model where the stored elastic energy within the finite element mesh is converted to the nodes at impact.

Can anyone suggest any publications available on the aforementioned problem??

any advice would be gratefully received.

    Matthew
