The Annual Leeds Orthopaedic Biomechanics Course

The annual Leeds Orthopaedic Biomechanics Course, run by the
Centre for Biomechanics and Medical Engineering (CBME), is delivered
over two days. The course aims to give delegates an understanding of
the fundamental biomechanics associated with orthopaedics and how this
knowledge may be applied in a clinical situation. In particular, the
course seeks to provide an integrated approach with the delivery of
material undertaken by specialists from different disciplines.

The short course is part of a suite offered by the CBME under the
Medical and Life Sciences Engineering (MaLSE) Masters Training Package.
This initiative is sponsored by the EPSRC, a UK Governmant Research
Council. The programme of short courses has been designed for the
benefit of industrial and clincial end-users with an emphasis on
orthopaedics. The courses can be used as part of CPD package or as
credits towards a higher degree (MSc, PGDip or PGCert). Fee reductions
are available for people who are employed in the public sector (e.g the
NHS) or in a Small/Medium Sized Enterprise (SME). For further details
