Dear Daniel and other ornithologists,
Thanks very much for your contribution to the debate. I agree that the
reason for different thigh/tibia and tibia/foot ratios is a better
question.
I wonder if someone could supply us with a small table of the ratios for
various animals (man, dogs, birds, frogs, etc.)? I think this might help
tease out their functional significance.
