    BIOMECHANICS FACULTY POSITION

    Program of Human Biodynamics
    Division of Biological Sciences
    University of California, Berkeley

    Applications are invited for a tenure-track Assistant Professor
    position starting July 1, 1993. Candidates should have demonstrated
    excellence, originality, and productivity in biomechanics and
    should have strong interests in undergraduate and graduate teaching.
    Research areas of interest may range from single cells to muscle systems to
    intact organisms; they may include, but are not limited to, mechanics of
    biomaterials and tissues, muscle mechanics and energetics, regulation of
    contraction, cardiovascular biomechanics, musculo-skeletal biomechanics, and
    movement biomechanics.

    Applications, including a curriculum vitae, a list of publications,
    a reprint of the three most significant publications, a brief
    (two pages maximum) statement of research and teaching objectives, and three
    letters of evaluation should be sent to:
