POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP POSITION
A two-year postdoctoral fellowship position is currently available at the
Laboratory of Biomechanics and Impact Mechanics (LBMC), French National
Institute of Research on Transports and Safety (INRETS,
http://www.inrets.fr), Bron (suburb of Lyon), France.
The candidate will work for a newly started European research project which
aims to acquire the knowledge and develop an advanced technology for
computer simulation of human motion for ergonomic applications. We are
seeking applicants with an earned Ph.D in Biomechanics, Robotics, Computer
animation, Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering to work with a
multidisciplinary research team. Candidates are expected to have
experiences in experimental research on human movement, and competence in
data acquisition and analysis (preferably in MATLAB). CITIZENSHIP OF A
STATE OF THE EUROPEAN UNION IS REQUIRED. A good level of English is
obligatory and a good level of French will be appreciated.
The screening of applications and nominations for this position will begin
immediately and continue until a suitable candidate is located. The
earliest start date will be November 1, 2001. Applications should include a
curriculum vitae, one sample of a recent publication or manuscript, and
names of three individuals who can be contacted for a recommendation.
