    5th INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON COMPUTER
    METHODS IN BIOMECHANICS AND BIOMEDICAL
    ENGINEERING

    31 Oct – 3 Nov, 2001, JOLLY HOTEL MIDAS, ROME, ITALY

    ***Final reminder to register and call for delegates***

    Details of the latest programme, which includes 220 presentations and
    20 Invited plenary papers, together with information on registration
    and accommodation can be found on the symposium website
    .

    ***Late abstract submission***

    We have received various requests to submit late abstracts for the
    above meeting. Although all the oral sessions are full we are still
    able to accept abstracts submitted for Poster Presentation. One page
    abstracts (as email attachments) should be forwarded by 10th October
    (3 weeks before commencement of the symposium). See website
    for full details of the meeting. Posters presentations accepted
    will be published as full-length papers in the symposium proceedings.

    ***Presentation by the European Commission on FP6***

    The symposium will also include a presentation and discussion by
    European Commission on Funding within the forthcoming Framework
    Programme, FP6, together with Opportunities for International
    Research in areas of biomechanics and biomedical engineering. The
    presentation will be given by Kevin McCarthy (RTD), European
    Commission, Brussels, Belgium and all delegates are invited to attend
    and participate in this session.
