  • Knee biomechanics in knee OA rehab

    Hi All,
Perhaps some of you remember my prior postings. I am working on an
osteoarthritis book with Dr. Bob Arnot, NBC. I am not too keen on the
biomechanics of strength training and want to include these aspects in our
    book.

Can anyone tell me with complete certainty what forces in the knee you are
particularly concerned with when recommending rehab exercises to knee OA
patients? Is it the compressive forces and shear forces? Posteriorly or
    anteriorly?
And with the patellofemoral patients, is it the patellofemoral compressive
forces you are most concerned with?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Suzanne
