The Division of Kinesiology and Health Promotion at Cal State University
Fullerton
is currently seeking a faculty member for the position described below. The
appointment for this tenure track position will be made for Fall 2002. The
position might be of particular interest to Biomch-L readers who have a
background in any ONE or more of the following areas: clinical biomechanics,
basic anatomy/physiology, strength training and conditioning, or
rehabilitative sciences. The division is currently building an 18 million
dollar addition to the existing building adding over 50,000 square footage
of new exercise science laboratory space which includes state of the art
equipment. Screening for the position will begin November 1 2001, and will
continue until the position is filled. However, the committee will likely
create a short list by the end of December and interview in late
January/early February.
Clinical/Applied Exercise Science-California State University, Fullerton
Position: Clinical/Applied Exercise Science, Division of Kinesiology and
Health Promotion, California State University, Fullerton.
Assistant/Associate Professor, tenure track, starting August 15, 2002.
Completed Doctorate in Kinesiology or related field; ATC and/or PT
credential desirable. Teach and develop new undergraduate and graduate
courses in clinical/applied exercise science; teaching assignments in at
least two of the following areas: therapeutic/rehabilitative exercise,
anatomy/physiology, biomechanics, exercise physiology, strength and
conditioning and/or athletic training. Responsibilities include development
of an advisement track in Clinical Exercise Science. Candidate must have
evidence of successful teaching, research/scholarly activity and potential
for obtaining external grants. To apply, submit a letter of application, a
brief narrative regarding the candidate's views on the future direction of
clinical/applied exercise science, sample of scholarly work, copies of
recent teaching evaluations, transcripts of graduate work, current vitae,
