I can only offer anecdotal evidence. I've been taking glucosomine for about
a year based on the advice of an MD internist, for my knees. I have had a
meniscotomy on each knee and am down to little joint cushioning. I have had
good results but caution that its necessary to keep one's weight in line and
to continue to build/maintain quad muscle to keep the structures of the knee
toned and held up. I do believe some literature on glucosomine exists but
this would require Medline searching and following leads in the literature
    review.
