  • Doctoral Fellowship Available

A doctoral student fellowship is available beginning the 2002-2003 academic
year to study bone cell mechanotransduction. The primary focus of our
research group is to elucidate biochemical signaling pathways in bone cells
exposed to mechanical stimuli. The research will involve the mechanical
stimulation of bone cells in vitro, intracellular signaling mechanisms, and
gene and protein expression. Michigan Technological University is located
in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. The community offers a small-town
environment with outstanding four-season recreational opportunities. If you
are interested in working in a small, interactive and motivated group,
please send your resume or curriculum vitae.

Applicants should have a M.S. or B.S. in Biomedical Engineering or a
    closely related field.
