    I don't know you, Chris, but I'm assuming you're a male. If so, both your
    height and foot length are less than the 50th percentile for both USA and UK
    males.

    Data published in Pheasant ('88) and, in the UK, in Adultdata (each
    containing several anthropometric data sources) reveal MEAN foot lengths to
    range across populations from 218 mm to 282 mm.

    The total range (across populations) from 5th percentile female to 95th
    percentile males was 186 mm to 302 mm.

    I don't know the Crandall et al paper, but no mention was made of gender;
    so, if it combines males and females, then 244 mm would be a reasonable mean
    from a normal sample. On the other hand, if the paper was reporting only
    male data, then it DOES seem small. .... maybe they were only measuring
    drivers of small cars ....
