    This is an announcement of an available position at the Post Doctoral or
    Research Assistant Professor Level in the Cardiac Rhythm Laboratory, Center
    for Biomedical Engineering, University of Kentucky, USA.

    We invite applications from qualified candidates for a research position.
    Depending on the qualifications and related experience of the applicant, the
    position will be at the level of either a Post Doctoral Scholar or a
    Research Assistant Professor.

    The project for which this position is being considered has a focus on
    cardio-respiratory dynamic interaction and the role that this interaction
    plays in genesis of unexplained syncope. The project includes both
    experimental and signal analysis components. We are looking for candidates
    with a background in cardiovascular or respiratory neural control research
    and in use of signal analysis and systems modeling. Programming skills are

    We expect that the candidate will take a lead role in all aspects of the
    project. We provide a work environment where the candidate will have
    opportunities for professional development.

    The applicants should have an earned PhD degree in Biomedical Engineering or
    related field, with background in cardiovascular or respiratory control
    research. The project is funded by the National Institutes of Health for a
    period of three years.
