The IV World Congress of Biomechanics, taking place August 4-9,
2002 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada is pleased to announce that information
regarding Symposia Session Titles and Presenters is now available on the
official website: www.wcb2002.com
The World Congress is the premier event in the field of biomechanics.
Between 1,500 and 2,000 of the world's leading researchers in all areas
of biomechanics will be convening in Calgary for the event. Both the
American Society of Biomechanics and the Canadian Society for
Biomechanics will be holding their scientific meetings in conjunction
with the World Congress.
The goal of the IV World Congress of Biomechanics is to bring
together scientists from all areas of biomechanics. This is demonstrated
in the varied titles/topics of the symposia sessions. The main headings
for symposia sessions are:
Orthopaedics
Cardiovascular/Respiratory
Musculoskeletal Biomechanics & Movement
Biomechancis, Biotechnology & Bioengineering
Each topic includes approximately 20 sessions, totalling roughly 80 sessions
and 400 of the pre-eminent researchers in biomechanics.
