A special interest group of the Association for the Advancement of Applied
Sport Psychology (AAASP) our mission is: to engage in professional
dialogue related to the psychology of sport injuries. Specifically, we're
interested in research and applied strategies that pertain to
understanding sport injuries from a psychosocial perspective. Specific
topics of interest are broad and include but are not limited to:
psychosocial antecedents to injuries, psychological reactions to sport
injuries, adherence to injury rehabilitation programs, and mental aspects
of returning to sport competition following injury.
