    CALL FOR PAPERS
    Participants of the VIII emed Scientific meeting will be welcomed at the
    foot of the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada. Located
    just 45 minutes from the venue of the IV World Congress of Biomechanics in
    Calgary, this meeting will provide a specialized forum for research in the
    area of pressure distribution analysis.

    Scientific papers are invited for oral or poster presentation.

    TOPICS OF INTEREST
    Research in the area of pressure distribution analysis, with an emphasis on:
    - biomechanics - orthopaedics
    - gait and locomotion - prosthetics
    - diabetes - ergonomics
    - sports - industrial applications

    NOVEL AWARD
    An award will presented in the amount of CDN$10,000 for a paper that makes
    significant contributions to the field of pressure distribution analysis.
    Abstracts must be submitted no later than February 15th, 2002. Notification
    to the finalists will be made by April 1st, 2002, and full scientific papers
    must be received by June 15th, 2002. Papers and oral presentations will be
    judged by an international panel of experts in the fields of biomechanics
    and medicine. Awards will also be presented for best poster and oral
    presentation.

    NOTICE
    Authors should submit abstracts to the Congress Office at a date no later
    than February 15th ,2002. Details regarding preparation of the abstracts,
    and online submissions can be found at our web page. All abstracts will be
    evaluated by a panel of reviewers, and assigned to poster or oral sessions.

    web pages.
