ISB Student Grant Applications for 2002

The International Society of Biomechanics (ISB) offers now the annual
Student Grants for the year 2002. Student members of ISB are eligible
for the following two grants:
1. The Matching Dissertation Grant Program
There will be several competitive grants of $2000 made for doctoral
dissertation research. A condition is that the applicant will have a
commitment from her/his institution or another source to provide a
further matching $2000. This program is applicable to those who are
doctoral candidates and are seeking assistance with costs of their
dissertation research.
2. The International Travel Grant Program
In order to allow student members to travel abroad to experience science
in other cultures, the ISB offers several grants of $2000 for travel
related to biomechanics research. A report on the accomplishments during
the trip will be expected by the Executive Council.
Applications are to be received by January 25, 2002. Further details and
