A PhD position will shortly become available at the University of
Exeter, School of Engineering and Computer Science. The project will
involve experimental characterisation of cancellous bone and subsequent
development of simple analytical models to predict elastic and fracture
behaviours.
The stipend will be set at the current EPSRC rates.
Candidates will ideally have either an Engineering or Physics
background, or a Biological background with an aptitude towards
materials / solid mechanics.
