    Assistant Professor in Exercise Physiology.
    Full-time tenure track position in the Department of Exercise Science &
    Sport Studies in Exercise Physiology at SUNY College at Cortland is
    available September 1, 2002.

    Qualifications:
    Required: Doctorate or ABD in exercise physiology with expertise in
    neuromuscular and/or cardiovascular physiology.
    Preferred: ACSM certification; NSCA certification; college teaching
    experience. Salary: Competitive with qualifications and experience;
    excellent fringe benefits.

    Responsibilities: Teach exercise physiology; teach neuromuscular and /or
    cardiovascular fitness assessment; provide leadership for the Exercise
    Science and Fitness Development; coordinate internships in the Fitness
    Development programs. Teach in other areas related to individual expertise;
    advisement; related scholarly work.

    The Department: The Exercise Science & Sport Studies of SUNY Cortland has
    degree programs leading to the B.S. in Athletic Training; B.S. in Fitness
    Development, B.S. in Kinesiology with concentrations in Exercise Science or
    Sport Studies, B.S. & B.A. in Sport Management. The Department works
    closely with the Department of Physical Education (800 majors) and teaches
    their theory core courses. About 600 students are currently enrolled in the
    programs of the Department. The college, located in the city of Cortland
    (population of 25,000), has a student enrollment of approximately 7,000.

    A complete application will include:
    1. a letter of application, 2. resume, 3. transcripts of college work and,
    4. at least three current letters of recommendation written specifically for
    Cortlandıs position , including at least two from professionals acquainted
    with the applicantıs teaching abilities. Photographs and other unrelated
    personal information should not be included.
