    Rehabilitation Research Scientist

The Center for Outcomes Research (COR) at Kessler Medical Rehabilitation
    Research
and Education Corporation (KMRREC) studies the function and quality of
    life of
persons served in medical rehabilitation programs and identifies factors
    determining
these outcomes. The COR currently conducts research on outcomes in
    traumatic
brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), stroke, and multiple
    sclerosis (MS). The
COR is home to the Northern New Jersey Model Traumatic Brain Injury
    System,
funded by NIDRR. Clinical trials are being conducted in stroke and TBI.
KMRREC houses the National Data Center for the TBI model system. Our
    affiliated
hospital, Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation, Inc., is consistently
    ranked in the top 5
of all rehabilitation hospitals in the United States, and the UMDNJ/NJMS
    Department
of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation is recognized as a premier
    training site for
    clinicians and researchers.

The COR currently seeks an energetic, committed individual with interest
    and skills
relevant to research on the outcomes of rehabilitative interventions for
    persons with
disability, measurement of function and quality of life,
    cost-effectiveness analysis,
and/or policy-oriented research. The individual will have: a promising
    record of publishing and grant
writing; experience in performance of clinical and/or policy-related
    research in rehabilitation or health;
strong statistical and data management skills; strong writing skills; and
    a record
of professional service at the institutional and/or national levels. This
    is an excellent,
budgeted research position, with outstanding clinical and research
    resources, and a
competitive salary and benefits package, in a rapidly growing
    organization.
