THE UNIVERSITY OF BURGUNDY (UNIVERSITÉ DE BOURGOGNE)
Faculty of Sport Sciences (Faculté des Sciences du Sport)
Movement Analysis Group (Groupe Analyse du Mouvement)
POST-DOC RESEARCH POSITION
The Movement Analysis Group at the University of Burgundy, Dijon, France, invites applications for a Post-Doc Research Position.
Our lab is part of the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM), and has been studying human movement for 10 years now. We have focused our research on the physiological approach of physical performance and motor control. Moreover, we have developed clinical and physiological approaches focusing on motor inability evaluation and the conception of new tools available for motor inability compensation.
We are interested in candidates with research experience in fields like neuroscience, cognitive systems, biomechanics or bioengineering, to mention only a few (See other keywords*). The successful candidate will be supported by a Post-Doc grant and work in one of those fields of research within our team. The initial appointment is for one year, beginning September 1st, 2002 or shortly thereafter, with yearly extensions possible based on performance. Then, the Post-Doc will have the opportunity to apply for a definite faculty position either as Maître de conférence (researcher and teacher at the university), or as Chargé de recherche (which is a full-time research position) at the INSERM.
The University of Burgundy hires on the basis of merit and is committed to employment equity. All qualified persons are encouraged to apply. Applicants should submit a detailed resume, a statement (1-2 pages) of research and teaching interests, and names and addresses (fax/e-mail included) of four referees to:
