BIOMCH:
I am writing to request opinions/ suggestions/ ideas on an optimum way to
measure large strain. My research involves measuring strain of a blood
vessel. Concerns include: small size (1mm Diameter), 200% strain possible,
easily distended @ low pressure (180 mmHg), must avoid significantly
influencing the measurement by taking the measurement, ...
Current ideas include:
* Design strain gage out of electroactive polymer
* Modify force sensing resistor/ use technology & fit to small size
* Measure optically
Does anyone know of existing devices/ products that might work in my
application? Can anyone suggest possible configurations that might
work? I appreciate any input you might have ... Thanks so much!
