    Doctoral Graduate Assistantship Position Available

    The Division of Athletic Training in the Department of Rehabilitation
    Sciences College of Allied Health Professions is seeking a highly motivated
    student interested in pursuing a doctorate. Applicants should have a
    personal interest in clinical research of the upper extremity, specifically
    focusing on shoulder pathology and scapular dyskinesis.

    10-Month Position Available - August, 2002. Renewable for 3 years.
    Location: University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY
    Position Description: research assistant for an athletic training faculty
    member in the Division of Athletic Training in the Department of
    Rehabilitation Sciences, College of Allied Health Professions. Additional
    clinical responsibilities include working in a sports medicine clinic


    Qualifications:
    1. 2 years experience as an ATC and/or PT.
    2. Earned master's degree.
    3. Previous experience in research.
    4. Interest in clinical research is required.
    5. Good computer skills.
    6. Good oral and written communication skills.

    Stipend: $10,000/year (10-11 months), including tuition waiver and health
    insurance for fall and spring semesters
    The University of Kentucky offers the option of an: Ed.D. in Heath
    promotion, a PhD in Exercise Science (Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology)
    through the Department of Kinesiology in the college of Education

    Sciences through the Department of Rehabilitation in the College of Allied
    Health Professions (http://www.mc.uky.edu/rehabsciences/ ).
