Biomechanics Research Intern for adidas Innovation Team
The adidas Innovation Team at adidas International in Portland, Oregon is
seeking to fill the position of Biomechanics Research Intern. This is a
year-long position beginning ASAP. The position is ideally suited for a
recent college graduate who is interested in biomechanics and is looking to
gain valuable research and testing experience in a highly competitive,
athletic, and creative environment.
Key responsibilities are to set up and execute biomechanical laboratory
tests for the adidas innovation team (testing prototypes prior to
industrialization), product testing department during different stages of
the industrialization and ongoing research projects.
Additional responsibilities will include fit and wear testing, maintenance
of tester database, reporting of results to the research group, innovation
teams, and product test managers.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomechanics,
or related field (e.g.: Sport Science, Mechanical Engineering). The
individual will have a basic knowledge of athletics, sport shoes,
biomechanics, material testing, as well as experience in working with high
performance athletes. Advanced computer skills with word processing,
presentation making, spreadsheet calculations, database management are also
necessary.
