    The Department of Rehabilitation Science and Technology is looking for an individual to fill a non-tenure-stream faculty position. The Department has an active research, education, and clinical service program. We are looking for a faculty member who has administrative experience and training in physical therapy or rehabilitation science. The Department is looking for an individual to serve as clinical coordinator with project/research - participation in grant proposal-submissions, administration of grant/project budgets, assistance in writing research protocols for various studies, submission of these protocols to the VA and University of Pittsburgh IRBs, coordination of subject recruitment, and full participation on data collection process to assure full compliance with the IRB approved research protocols. This position extends into the active collaboration with members of the Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL), the VA, the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC and the Pittsburgh community during the dissemination process of research findings, such as publication of research articles, paper presentation at national conferences, and in-services in clinical and disability community settings.
    The individual will also serve as a clinical instructor at the UPMC Center for Assistive Technology (CAT), provide AT client services, clinical education and supervision with PT/OT student population with emphasis placed on clinical, leadership and communication skills, teaching responsibilities for RST students and continuing education activities, participation in faculty meetings, academic committees as assigned, and student supervision and mentoring (RST,SHRS). The individual must have earned an Associate of Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, master degree in Physical Therapy or a masters of science and substantial documented rehabilitation experience specific to assistive technology and should include clinical and teaching experience of at least three years. Must be eligible for employment in the United States, be RESNA ATP certified, and have IRB experience.
