blunders in biomechanics

Dear Colleagues,
I am writing a review on sports biomechanics and wish to
identify common blunders in biomechanics research studies with a view to
improving the quality of sports biomechanics research. I am particularly
interested in mistakes arising from a lack of understanding of mathematics
or statistics. If you have your own pet examples of such biomechanical
blunders please let me have them along with appropriate references.
