    POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH POSITION in NEUROMOTOR CONTROL and SPINAL CORD
    INJURY

    A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Experimental and
    Computational Neuroscience Laboratory of Dr. Ranu Jung, Center for
    Biomedical Engineering, The University of Kentucky. This research is
    using a chronic animal model of spinal cord injury to develop new
    techniques for locomotor retraining therapy that use functional
    electrical stimulation. In collaboration with Dr. James Abbas (Neural
    Control Laboratory), we are designing and developing adaptive systems
    for controlling locomotion. The laboratory provides extensive
    opportunities to interact with researchers in the Department of
    Electrical and Computer Engineering and Spinal Cord and Brain Injury
    Research Center. Preference will be give to applicants with
    engineering/mathematical training and interests and experience in
    neuromotor control and spinal cord injury. Experimental skills with
    vertebrate in-vivo/chronic injury animal models is highly desirable.
    This multi-year position, which is partially funded through NIH,
    includes a benefits package.
