    Gait Laboratory Manager/Research Engineer
    Department of Orthopedic Surgery
    Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center

    The gait laboratory, in the department of Orthopedic Surgery, at
    Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois has a
    permanent position available for a Gait Laboratory Manager/Research
    Engineer. The primary responsibilities associated with this position
    include: overseeing the daily operation of the laboratory, ensuring quality
    control of all aspects of testing, data collection and processing,
    supervising personnel who work in the laboratory and coordinating the
    scheduling of the different research projects within the gait laboratory.
    Research opportunities are also possible with this position. The diverse
    responsibilities of this position require someone with strong engineering
    skills as well as strong interpersonal skills and organizational skills.

    The gait laboratory at Rush is a research lab that focuses on the
    biomechanics of human motion in adults. Some of the ongoing research
    projects address the role of dynamic joint loading in the progression of
    osteoarthritis and the function of total joint replacements. For further

    Candidates must have a degree in Bioengineering or a related Engineering
    discipline with a concentration in Biomechanics. A Masters degree is
    preferred or a Bachelors degree with relevant work experience. Candidates
    must already have authorization to work in the United States. Qualified
