International Tennis Federation Project Technologist
As the world governing body for tennis, the ITF has responsibility for the
testing and approval of tennis equipment to ensure conformance to the
official Rules of Tennis. It facilitates research and development on behalf
of the ITF Technical Commission and disseminates this information to the
tennis industry via the ITF Foundation.
The ITF Technical Laboratory is arguably the finest tennis-specific research
facility in the world, and applications are invited from exceptional
graduates for the post of Project Technologist. Reporting to, and working
closely with, the Technical Manager, the successful applicant will be
responsible for research projects, testing and approval of tennis equipment,
and other duties as specified by the Technical Manager. There is also the
possibility of registering for a tennis-related postgraduate research
degree.
Applicants should have demonstrable technical expertise in materials science
with a degree or equivalent in mechanical/sports engineering or related
subject. Knowledge of the tennis industry (preferably from a manufacturing
perspective), while not essential, would be an advantage.
Applicants are expected to be computer literate, have excellent
communication skills, be able to solve technical problems, and have a
dedication to the highest standards of work.
An excellent salary and benefits package is available for the right
candidate. Applications will be considered until the vacancy is filled.
For an informal discussion, please contact Dr. Stuart Miller, ITF Technical
Manager on +44 208 392 4676.
To apply, please send a full CV with details of your current salary and
benefits package to:
