  • Qs regarding sitting biomechanics

    Dear netters
A student of mine is working on the development
of a lifting tool for severe Bachtrev cases
He came across some basic qs I can't remember
    seeing an answer to, like:
were, in relation to the back or knees in the
sagittal plane, is the resultant force
transmitted to the seat? how is this changing as
one is getting up? what is the order of
magnitude of forces needed to lift a patient
from below to a standing posture?
in short, the whole biomechanics of changing
    sitting-standing positions with and withoout
help by hand. I wonder if someone knows a
reference or has some private experience.
    Thanks
    Moshe Nissan
