Position: The department is seeking candidates for two one year Visiting
Assistant Professor appointments in Exercise Science. The positions will
involve teaching undergraduate/graduate courses in such areas as
exercise physiology, clinical exercise testing and programming, anatomy
and physiology and introduction to exercise science. Additional
responsibilities may include supervising undergraduate clinical
internships and assisting in the supervision of undergraduate/graduate
student research. Additional opportunities exist to be involved in
serving on departmental committees and to engage in research.
Rank/Salary: It is expected that the appointments will be made at the
Assistant Professor level, and the salary will depend on the applicant's
qualifications.
Qualifications: The qualifications for these positions include a Ph.D.
in Exercise Science or a closely related field, with a specialization in
exercise physiology, teaching experience, and experience in exercise
physiology-related research. ABD's will be considered for the position.
The Department of Kinesiology: The department is one of seven
departments in the University's College of Health and Human Services.
Approximately 500 students are actively pursuing majors in the
department at the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. levels. Additional information

Appointment Date and Application Deadline: These positions will begin
with the Fall semester of the 2002/2003 academic year (August 2002) and
continue through the end of the Spring 2003 semester. Although they will
