I am having difficulty finding information regarding the
perception of
discomfort of the foot due to heat or perspiration during exercise. I am
trying
to assemble an understanding of the thermal demands of the foot. Some
specific
questions I have are: How can you measure the amount of perspiration
absorbed by
the skin (of the foot during exercise)? What perception literature or
knowledge
is out there regarding the discomfort level due to heat and/or moisture? What
is "perceived" as uncomfortable and why?
If anyone has any thoughts on these issues or knows where I should
look, please
let me know. What I have found is both limited and dated. Any leads would
help. Thank-you.
