    Please post the following advertisement and notify qualified individuals
    who may be interested in this biomechanics tenure track faculty
    position. An excellent laboratory start-up package is available.

    Assistant Professor, Department of Exercise Science, The University of
    Iowa: Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position
    commencing in August 2003. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent
    degree and a strong potential to attract external funding. Postdoctoral
    training and teaching experience are highly desirable. The successful
    applicant will be expected develop a strong independent research program in
    his/her area of expertise, and teach biomechanics at the undergraduate and
    graduate levels. Scientists investigating areas broadly related to
    exercise and movement sciences are invited to apply. Review of
    applications will commence in October 2002 and continue until the position
    is filled. Submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, selected
    reprints, a 5 year research plan and the names and contact information of

    The Department of Exercise Science offers undergraduate and graduate
    degrees including the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Exercise Science. The
    undergraduate program prepares students for both professional (medicine,
    physical therapy, etc.) and graduate school. Ongoing basic and applied
    research programs cover the broad areas of Antomy, Biomechanics,
    Integrative Physiology and Motor Control. Collaborative efforts exists
    with investigators in the Colleges of Medicine and Engineering. For more
